Francesca Pancotto

Francesca Pancotto is Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.  Francesca Pancotto graduated at Bocconi University in 2001 and holds a PhD in Economics from S. Anna School of Advanced Studies.  She was post doctoral scholar at HEC in Liege and at University of Bologna from 2009 to 2011. She has been visiting researcher at AUT Sydney, ANU Auckland, UBC Vancouver. Her research focuses on the investigation of rationality of human choice in connection with social and economic behavior. In particular, on the study of individual behavior and social norms and on the irrationality of expectations in financial markets.

 

Marco Mamei 

Marco Mamei is Full Professor in Computer Science at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He received the Laurea degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in 2001 and the PhD in Computer Science from the same University in 2004. He has been visiting researcher at Telecom Italia Lab (IT), Nokia Research Center (USA), Harvard University (USA), Cycorp Europe (SLO) and Yahoo Research (ES).  His current research interests include: data mining and timeseries analysis with regard to mobility and interactions patterns and infrastructures for mobile and IoT applications. In these areas, he has published over 100 papers in international fora and 8 patents, received several awards, and has been invited speaker and tutorials in several international conferences and workshops.

Marco Picone

Marco Picone is a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher in the Distributed and Pervasive Intelligence (DIPI) Group at the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering (DISMI) of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Adjunct Professor of the “Intelligent Internet of Things” course at the same University. He received the Ph.D. in Information Technology and the M.Sc. (cum Laude) in Computer Engineering from the University of Parma (Italy) and he have also been Postdoctoral Research Associate at the same University from 2012 and 2015. During 2011 he was visitor student researcher in the NetOS group at the Computer Laboratory, University of Cambridge (UK). His research interests include Distributed Systems, Internet of Things, Edge Computing, Vehicular Networks, Pervasive and Mobile Computing.

 

Francesca FedericoFrancesca Federico

Francesca Federico is a grant holder of Unimore funded by interdisciplinary FAR 2019, awarded to DCE and DISMI. Previously master’s student in Management and Communication at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, she graduated in Philosophical Sciences at the University of Padova and holds a specialization in Cultural Sciences at the “Scuola Internazionale di Alti Studi” (Modena, Fondazione San Carlo). She has been a visiting student at the University College London (Department of Computer Science). Francesca is also responsible for Rebel’s software platform. In August 2021 Francesca will enter the PhD program at ASU Arizona.

Noemi Roncolato 

Noemi studies marketing and business organization at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. 
She graduated in Human Science from Da Vinci High School in Vicenza.
Noemi joined REBEL Research Lab in September 2020 to contribute to their project during her internship program while writing her thesis in the game of the public asset and corruption . Her organizational skills, strong motivation and attention to detail is greatly appreciated within the team together with her dynamism and focus on results. 

Margherita Russo 

Margherita Russo is a full Professor of Economic Policy (Dipartimento di Economia Marco Biagi, Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia).
Research interest: Innovation dynamics (innovation as a social process, role of interfirm interrelationships in fostering innovation processes; innovation policy). Effects of innovation on the organization of labour and on skill requirements. Structure and change of local production systems (emergence of competence networks; local development
policy; competition of local production systems; environmental and social sustainable local development). Socio-economic impact of natural disaster.
